- Abu Simbel tour from Sharm el Sheikh is best experienced on a 3 day tour by air with excursion to the pyramids. As there is no direct flight from Sharm el Sheikh to Aswan, we do recommend a combined rout.
- Visiting Abu Simbel by air from Sharm l Sheikh will require a full visa of Egypt. Full Egyptian visa can be purchased in Sharm el Sheikh airport, it costs 25$ per person.
- There is no direct flight to Abu Simbel either from Cairo, Luxor or Aswan.

Abu Simbel temples are located in Upper egypt, Aswan Governorate. 280 km south of Aswan and 210 km south of the Tropic of Cancer. 70 km north of the Sudan border.
Abu Simbel is famous for its Great Temple of Ramses the 2nd and a unique phenomenon that takes place twice a year. It is called Abu Simbel Temples Sun Festival. The event takes place on February 22 and October 22.
The best time to visit Abu Simbel is late autumn and winter. Up to the end of March there will be a comfortable weather to tour Abu Simbel temples. We'd not recommend to go to Abu Simbel in late spring or in summer due to high temperatures in Upper Egypt during this time of year.
