A unique excursion to the relatively remote temple of Nubia New Kalabsh. It is here that the amazing Mandulis temple is located - one of the largest freestanding temples of Nubia; as well as the temple of Garf Hussein, which was moved here from another place, and the temple of Beit al-Wali.
Our excursion to the island of New Kalabsha, located a few kilometers from Aswan on a separate island on Lake Nasser, will begin early in the morning. Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and you will go to the pier, where we will take a motorboat and make an amazing journey over Lake Nasser (about 20 minutes) to the island of Kalabsha.
Here amazing monuments of Nubia, a lost civilization, are waiting for us. We will spend about three hours on the island and get acquainted with the following monuments, reconstructed here: the Kalabsha Temple, dedicated to the Nubian god Mandulis. The length of the temple is 74 meters from the pylon to the back wall and the width is 33 meters, which makes it the largest free-standing temple in Egyptian Nubia.
The temple of Beit el-Wali and the temple of Garf Hussein, both date from the reign of Ramses II, as well as a beautiful Roman kiosk of Kertassi and the chapel of Deadven will be visited.
