Five day Egyptian desert tour from Cairo via oasis of Bahariya, Kharga and Dakhla to Luxor. Western desert tour with visit to the White and Black desert, Hibis temple and Bagawat.

Cairo to Bahariya oasis day trip

Our driver will meet you in your Cairo hotel and take by a comfortable a/c vehicle to Bahariya oasis. The distance from Cairo to the oasis is 370-km, so we will leave Cairo between 07:30 and 08:00 am. Upon arrival to Bahariya, we check in at our cozy 3* hotel on HB basis, have a city tour and a lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we visit the temple of Alexander the Great, tombs of the Nobles and the English mountain. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

Bahariya and White Desert safari tour

This morning we start with an early departure by 4X4 Land Cruiser to the Western desert. Our tour includes visit to the White Desert, the Black Desert and the sand dune area, here we can even climb a 50 meter dune. Lunch will be served in El Heiz Oasis. After lunch we continue our journey and on the way to Farafra oasis we stop at the Crystal Mountain for some amazing pictures, next visit El Agabat and continue to the White Desert. Here we get a great chance to explore surrealistic and most bizarre rock formations. In the evening we will get our dinner and sleep in tents under the stars right in the desert.

White Desert - Farafra - Dakhla

In the morning let’s get breakfast in our camp and continue the trip towards Farafra oasis, just 40-km on road. We visit the city, bath in the hot spring, explore the museum of Badr - a local artist - then move on to Dakhla oasis, which lies 280-km far from Farafra. In Dakhla the Old Covered City with its oil press, school, courthouse and dwelling chambers are waiting to be discovered. Before lunch we visit Muzzawaka and Deir El Hagar. We check in a hotel and after dinner let’s have rest.

Day tour from Dakhla to Kharga oasis

In this morning we will leave friendly Dakhla oasis behind and move to Kharga, which lies some 190-km further in the desert. In Kharga we visit El Bagawat cemetery, The Temple of Nadura, Kharga museum and the temple of Hibis (from outside). After the tour we will move strait forward to Luxor where our desert tour ends. The distance from Kharga to Luxor 340 km. Check in a hotel in Luxor and overnight.

Luxor sightseeing day tour

On the last day of the tour you can stay in the hotel until 12 pm.
Transfer to Luxor airport as per your flight schedule.
If you have a late departure Luxor full or half day tour can be arranged upon request.
