Egypt for Kids: Family Friendly Trip to the Pyramids

Egypt for Kids is a fun family friendly tour to visit Pyramids of Giza, Pharaonic Village and Solar boat museum. It is a perfect choice for families of different ages to discover ancient Egypt with games and activities, the trip includes pick up and drop off from any hotel in Cairo or even Cairo International airport.

Visit to Pharaonic Village

The trip starts with visiting of the Pharaonic Village. It is the best place for children to discover ancient Egyptian history in a fun, interactive and educational way. During the visit we take a tour on a stylized ancient boat along the Mythology Canal with stops and visits to open museums and expositions along our route. The boat tour may take around one hour. Next you can do an optional visit to the tomb of Tutankhamun or additional museums your children may like to explore (optional activity).

The last part of our visit to the Pharaonic village will be a boat ride where can experience Nefertari boat cruise along the Nile for 1 hour.

Visit to The Pyramids

Kids friendly lunch in the city in a local restaurant will be offered at midday, then trip to the Pyramids of Giza. which includes visit to the Great Pyramid of Cheops, then visit to the second pyramid of King Khafre as well as the third pyramid of king Menkaure, we will end our tour at pyramids area with panoramic view for the whole Pyramids of the area for a wonderful photos.

Visit to Sphinx

Kids will be happy to know some interested stories about Sphinx, What happened to the Sphinx's nose and beard?.
Children will learn many things about Sphinx not only that The Sphinx is a stone sculpture of a creature with a human head and a lion's body.

Visit to Solar boat museum (moved to another location)

The boat was moved to Grand Egyptian Museum and the museum has been dismantled.
Visit to the Solar boat museum, it is located in Giza and was build to display the Khufu solar ship which is the only one not damaged and in a full-size remained from ancient Egypt since 2500 BC. Kids will know many facts about ancient Egyptian ships and boat types, what is the link between ships and pyramids and how it was made.
