Cairo to Luxor 2 day tour Trip from Cairo to Luxor for 2 days to explore Luxor tourist attractions: kings valley, tomb of Tutankhamen, queens valley tomb of Nefertari, Karnak temple, Luxor temple, Nile felucca ride.

This two-day excursion from Cairo to Luxor begins in the evening. Our representative will pick you up from your Cairo hotel and transfer you to the Cairo train station for an overnight train ride (double cabin) to Luxor. Upon arrival in the city, our English speaking guide will meet you, and you can have breakfast in the city (additional charge).

After breakfast, we'll go to Luxor's West Bank and visit the Colossi of Memnon, both old and new, recently opened to the public and restored, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Valley of the Kings. In the Valley of the Kings, we'll visit three tombs open to the public. If you'd like to see other tombs, you'll need to purchase separate tickets (additional charge). Next, we'll visit the Valley of the Queens. It's here that Queen Nefertari's most beautiful tomb was finally opened to the public, and we can explore it (additional ticket required). Here we will visit 2-3 tombs open to the public, then head into the city for lunch.

In the afternoon, check into a cozy 4* hotel (standard double room on BB) and relax. Optionally, you can visit the Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.

Karnak and Luxor temples day trip

The next day, early in the morning, you can take an amazing hot air balloon ride over Luxor (optional, paid separately).

You can stay at the hotel until 12:00 PM. Check out of the hotel and take a tour of the Luxor Temple. The temple visit can take several hours. You can then stroll along the Avenue of the Sphinxes from the Luxor Temple side. We recommend entering the Karnak Temple from the Avenue of the Sphinxes, which connects the two temples. This makes the Karnak Temple most impressive.

Upon entering the Karnak Temple, we'll explore its chapels, shrines, and, of course, the open-air museum.

Following the tour, we'll have lunch at a local restaurant and some free time.

Transfer to Luxor Train Station for an overnight ride to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
