Islamic Cairo sightseeing tour

Today we will spend our time admiring the Islamic monuments of Cairo. Let's visit the Citadel of Saladin, look at the Mosque of Muhammad Ali and Al Nasir Muhammad, visit the Al-Haramlik Palace, which houses the Military Museum. We will go down to the foot of the citadel and take a walk along al-Rifai mosque and Sultan Hassan Religious complex, look inside these ancient buildings, admire its architecture, decorations and massive walls.

Our next stop will be at the mosque of Ibn Tulun, which is situated just 15 minutes walk down the street. The mosque has very unique spiral minaret, the only one of its kind in Egypt. We can climb the minaret to take some panoramic photos of Cairo. Our tour will be finished with a visit to the Guy Anderson Museum, located in a medieval house, better known as Bayt al-Kritleyya. The museum hosts a private collection of pharaonic and Islamic art, collected by its owner during his stay in Egypt. The building it itself is a fine example of the houses of the nobility of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Our lunch we will get in the city in a local restaurant before we go to explore the largest Eastern Bazaar known as Khal el-Khalily. Back to our hotel by the evening and overnight.

Exploring the West Bank of Luxor

In the morning our driver will pick up you fro the hotel to transfer to Cairo airport. Flight to Luxor takes less than one hour. Upon arrival in Luxor (around 7 am) our English speaking guide will meet your outside the main arrival hall with the sign "sharm-club.com". The day will start with the excursion to the West Bank of the Nile. Here you will have a tour to the Valley of the Kings and Queens. Three opened tombs in each valley are available for exploration. If you want to visit and an extra tomb like Tomb of Tut Ankh Amun or Tomb of Ramses VI KV9, an extra ticket must be purchased at the entrance.

Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and a very beautiful temple of Medinet Habu is also on the travel list of the day. Photo stop at the old sitting Colossi of Memnon and the new standing Colossi will be done on the way.

Lunch in the city in a local restaurant will be offered during the day before we check-in a 4* hotel. Standard DBL room accommodation on BB basis is available. It was our best visit to Egypt. We covered at last Luxor and its beautiful Valley of the kings together with the Valley of the queens, extra visit to the tomb of Nefertari was the highlight of our Luxor trip. Cairo with the best guide Sherif will stay in our family memories forever!
