Overnight Cairo excursion by air | Cairo two days tour from Hurghada

Overnight Cairo excursion by air is two days tour by plane from any Hurghada hotel to the Capital of Egypt Cairo. There we will explore the ancient temples and tombs, visit the Pyramids and Sphinx, walk inside the valley temple and workers tomb, visit famous National Egyptian museum of antiquities and on the 2nd day discover Saqqara with its Step pyramid and nobles tombs.

On the way to Cairo

Pick up in the early morning from any hotel in Hurghada. Should you wish to be picked up from other areas including Makadi Bay, Sahl Hashish, el-Gouna or Safaga additional transfer fee will be applied. Transfer to Hurghada International airport and fly to Cairo. The flight may take up to 50 minutes. Arrival in Cairo and meet with our English speaking Egyptologist guide.

Egyptian Museum of Antiquities

Let’s start our Cairo city tour with visiting Egyptian Museum">National Egyptian Museumwhich is situated on Tahrir square and is famous for its vast collection of rare Egyptian monuments and artifacts. The tour includes 2,5 hours walk around the museum’s halls where you will get information about different periods of Egyptian history">Ancient Egyptian history, will see artifacts belonging to Old, Middle and New kingdoms. Visit to Tutankhamon room where his golden coffin and golden mask are exhibited. Visit to animal mummies hall and many other halls which will reveal you the ancient Egyptian mysteries.

Nile felucca

After the museum we will have some refreshments and take a felucca tour (optional activity) along the Nile. After let’s have some rest and a lovely lunch in a local restaurant on set menu basis. Drinks are ordered with extra charge. Lunch will take around one hour and after we’ll head for our main destination, the most famous place in the world – Giza plateau.

The Pyramids visit

Time to discover Giza plateau and its famous pyramids. The only survived wonder of the ancient world – The Great pyramid of Cheops is our main goal. Here we can spend some time walking around, entering inside (optional, extra ticket is required), climbing if possible or taking some wonderful pictures. Next let’s move to panorama playground where we can see all the pyramids together and take great panoramic pictures of the plateau together with three pyramids. Now time to discover smaller pyramids the one of Chephren and the smallest of three – the pyramid of Mycerinus. It is possible to enter both pyramids if they are open to public on the day of your visit, extra tickets will be required.

Sphinx and Valley temple

Our last stop will be at the bottom of the pyramid of Chephren where the Great Sphinx">the Great Sphinx and his valley temple are located. Let’s enter the temple and walk along its ancient walls until we reach the Great Sphinx. As a bonus our trip includes the entrance into a newly discovered and opened to public workers tomb.

Optional evening activities

After we finish our visits, transfer to 4* hotel for some rest. In the evening optional activities such as Sound & Light show at the Pyramids, Nile cruise with dinner and Oriental show or
Khan el Khalily bazaar visit can be arranged via our guide. Overnight in the hotel on BB basis.

Visit to Saqqara

Next day after breakfast meet with our guide and let’s move to Saqqara, there we’ll visit Imhotep Museum">Imhotep Museum and Step pyramid of Djoser">Step pyramid of Djoser, enter some opened tombs of Nobles and come close to the Pyramid of Unas">Pyramid of Unas and Teti pyramid. Optionally you can visit tomb of the sacred Apis bull known as Serapeum.

Lunch and Old Cairo quarters

Lunch in a local restaurant in the city and move to the Old Cairo, let’s explore fort Babylon, Jewish synagogue of Ben Ezra and some very old churches of Cairo.

Back to Hurghada

After we finish our visits, transfer to Cairo International airport and flight back to Hurghada. In Hurghada our representative will meet you and drive back to your hotel.
