Day Tour to Alexandria from Luxor by Sleeper Train to discover Greco-Roman sights of Alexandria, catacombs of Kom al-Shoqafa, National museum of Alexandria, fort Qait bay, Roman Amphitheater, Pompey pillar.

Our individual day tour to Alexandria will begin with a night drive on a comfortable sleeper train in a double cabin. Our English speaking representative will meet you at your Luxor hotel in the evening and transfer to Luxor railway station. Night ride to Alexandria. Arrival in Alexandria is scheduled early in the morning, so you will have time to meet with the guide, get acquainted with the program and have breakfast at a local cafe in the city (breakfast is charged separately).

Let's first go to Kom el Dekka archeological sight and visit the Greek-Roman sights: the Roman amphitheater, the only one in Egypt and the Pompeii column. In the same place we will find a statue of a huge scarab beetle, the second largest in Egypt and a statue of a sphinx.

Then we will move to the famous catacombs of Kom al-Shoqafa and visit not only the catacombs themselves, but also some of the Greeko-Roman graves and sarcophagi restored near them.

After lunch in the city and a little rest, let's look at the National Museum of Alexandria. Its distinguishing feature is that all the exhibits are unique to the museum and have never been exhibited before anywhere else in Egypt.

In the evening, before the night train back to Luxor, you will have free time and the opportunity to stroll along the Alexandria embankment, sit in a cafe on the Mediterranean coast or drop in at the Alexandria Library (paid separately).

Night transfer to Luxor and upon arrival our representative will meet you and transfer to your hotel.
