Day trip to Cairo form Luxor by a night sleeper train to cisit Cairo city, explore the main tourist attractions including the pyramids, sphinx and Egyptian museum.

Pick up from a hotel in Luxor

We will start our Day trip to Cairo form Luxor by a night sleeper train with evening pick up from your Luxor hotel Our driver will take you to the railway station and transfer to Cairo by a comfortable night sleeper train in a double cabin. In the morning, upon arrival in Cairo our English speaking guide will meet you at Giza train station and you will get a chance to have breakfast in the city (optionally, paid separately).

Visit to the Pyramids & Sphinx

Let's move to Giza Plateau after breakfast and explore the area and discover one of the seven wonders of the world: The great pyramid of Cheops! Other pyramids of the area will be visited as well: the pyramid of Kephren and the pyramid of Mycerinus. We will end our tour in Pyramids area after visiting the Great Sphinx of Egypt and its valley temple.

Shopping in Cairo

Let's have some shopping in the area around the Pyramids. Visit of papyrus institute, perfume palace or cotton fabric before moving to another bank of the Nile for lunch.

Nile boat ride optional activity

Now time to take 45 minutes traditional Nile boat felucca ride (optional activity). We will enjoy with the sailing along the Nile, warm breeze and panoramic views of the city. After the activity let's have lunch in a local restaurant (drinks are paid separately).

The National Egyptian museum visit

Let's end up our day with The National Egyptian Museum visit. The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities contains many important pieces of ancient Egyptian history. It houses the world's largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities, and many treasures of King Tutankhamen. The present building of the museum constructed by a French architect is situated in Tahrir Square and is already more than 100 years old. We will discover the main collections of the museum such as Old kingdom, Middle kingdom, New kingdom and king Tut Anch Amun collection. We will spend around 2,5 hours touring the museum.

Back to Luxor

At the end of the day we will take you back to railway station, the train is scheduled for 8 pm. In Luxor in the morning upon arrival our rep will meet you and transfer back to your hotel.
