Pharaoh's island excursion from Sharm el Sheikh

A trip to the island of the Pharaohs, located near Taba and just 250 meters far from the coast line, is an excellent opportunity to visit new and unexplored places of Sinai, wander around the ancient citadel and admire the surroundings of the Gulf of Aqaba.

A small piece of land off the coast of Taba, the island of the Pharaohs - is one of the most picturesque and historically interesting places in the Gulf of Aqaba. On a rocky island of only a few hundred meters stands the well-preserved medieval fortress of Saladdin, the underwater landscapes abound with corals and colorful fish, and in the evenings the majestic walls become a platform for light-music performance.

To get to the island, which is located only 250 meters far from the coast line, you can take a small boat. The citadel consists of 2 fortifications - the southern and the northern - each of them is visually represented as a separate structure.
