The distance from Sokhna port to the Pyramids of Giza is 140 km, it takes around 2 hours by a comfortable private AC vehicle from your cruise ship to the Pyramids of Giza. Upon arrival to the Pyramids area, your private English speaking guide will be waiting for you and take you to the tour in the area.

Get inside the Pyramids of Giza

You can enter inside one of the three pyramids of Giza. The entrance into The Great Pyramid of Giza - Pyramid of Cheops is only allowed for the first 400 visitors, so you have to come early enough to get your ticket. Other pyramids can be entered inside on a regular basis, but not all the time both of them are opened. The ticket to the Pyramids of Giza costs EGP 220 for an adult and EGP 110 for a student. This ticket does not include the entrance inside the burial chamber of the Pyramids or visit to the workers' cemetery. The ticket to enter inside the burial chamber of The Great Pyramid of Giza costs EGP 450 for an adult and EGP 300 for a student (student card is required).

Get inside the Great Sphinx

You can also get down to the Great Sphinx, but a special ticket and a special permission is required to enter the enclosure walls around the Great Sphinx of Giza to come close to it and see the dream Stella of king Totmosis the third.

How much time do you need at Giza pyramids?

It depends on the aim of your visit, for ordinary tourists minimum 2 hours tour of the pyramids will be enough. During this time you can see the Three Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, valley temple, workers cemetery, drive to panoramic view and take photos in every spot. Some people need to stay 5 hours if they are keen to do extra activities listed above. Our trip takes up to 3 hours which is sufficient to cover all the places at the pyramids.
